This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you visit fnsq.com.au, contact us, or use our credit assistance services.

In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Finance Square Group.

2. Why We Collect Your Personal Information
We collect personal information so that we can provide credit assistance services, including:
- assessing your borrowing capacity and your financial needs and objectives
- identifying lenders and credit products that may suit your circumstances
- preparing and submitting credit applications on your behalf
- managing your loan from application through to settlement and afterwards
- responding to enquiries you send us through this website or by phone, email or SMS
- meeting our obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 and other laws
If you do not give us the information we ask for, we may not be able to assess your application or provide credit assistance.
3. What Information We Collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- your name, date of birth and contact details
- your current and previous residential addresses
- your employment and income information
- your expenses, liabilities and assets
- identification documents
- your tax file number, only where we are required or permitted by law to collect it
- other financial information needed to assess your application
When you use this website we may also collect your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the date and time of your visit.
4. How We Collect It
We usually collect personal information directly from you, in person, by phone, by email or SMS, or through forms and booking tools on this website.
We may also collect information about you from lenders, credit reporting bodies, your accountant or other professional adviser, your employer, and publicly available sources, where you have authorised us to do so or where the law allows it.
5. Who We May Disclose Your Information To
We may share your personal information with:
- lenders, banks and other credit providers
- BLSSA Pty Ltd, our licensee, and Loan Market Group
- credit reporting bodies, including Equifax, illion and Experian
- lenders mortgage insurers
- valuers, solicitors and conveyancers
- government agencies, where required or authorised by law
- our professional service providers, including our information technology, compliance and legal advisers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for another organisation’s marketing purposes.
6. Credit Reporting
With your authorisation, we and our licensee BLSSA Pty Ltd may obtain your consumer credit report and your commercial credit report from a credit reporting body, for the purpose of assessing your application and providing credit assistance.
Credit reporting bodies may include information about you in reports they provide to other credit providers, to assist those providers in assessing your credit worthiness.
7. Overseas Disclosure
Some of the parties we deal with are located overseas, or use technology platforms hosted overseas. Loan Market Group operates platforms that may store data on servers in countries including the United States and countries in the European Union. Our customer relationship system and our email and messaging providers may also process data outside Australia.
Before disclosing personal information to an overseas recipient, we take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to ensure the recipient handles it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
8. Cookies and Website Analytics
This website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. Cookies are used to keep the site working correctly, to remember your preferences, and to gather anonymous statistics about how the site is used.
We use Google Analytics for anonymous reporting of site usage. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If you give us your contact details through this website, request a call back, book an appointment, or become a client, you consent to us contacting you by email, SMS and phone about your enquiry and about our credit assistance services.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Every marketing SMS we send includes a reply keyword to stop. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time by calling 0450 355 604 or emailing info@fnsq.com.au. We will action your request promptly.
We will continue to contact you about a loan application that is already underway, because that contact is necessary for the service you have asked us to provide.
10. How We Hold and Protect Your Information
We hold your personal information in electronic systems and, where relevant, in paper files. We take steps that are reasonable in the circumstances to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Those steps include access controls, encrypted connections to this website, and agreements with our service providers.
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as the law requires us to keep it. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or to de-identify it.
11. Access and Correction
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and you may ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
